The machine operates by feeding dry powder between two counter-rotating compaction rollers under controlled pressure. The powder is compressed into a dense compact sheet or flakes, which are subsequently passed through a milling and sizing system to obtain granules of the required size.

Roll compaction is an efficient dry granulation process that does not require liquid binders or a drying stage. It is particularly suitable for moisture-sensitive and heat-sensitive materials where wet granulation may not be preferred.

The machine can be customized with adjustable roller pressure, feeding arrangements, roller configurations and integrated granule sizing systems to meet specific production requirements.

Working Principle

1. Powder Feeding: Dry powder is loaded into the hopper and transferred through a controlled feeding system.

2. Powder Compaction: The material enters the gap between two counter-rotating rollers.

3. Compression: Hydraulic or mechanical pressure compresses the powder into a compact sheet or flakes.

4. Flake Collection: The compacted material is collected and transferred to the sizing section.

5. Milling: The compacted flakes are broken down using a suitable milling arrangement.

6. Screening: The granules are passed through a sieve to achieve the desired particle-size distribution.

7. Final Collection: Finished granules are collected for further processing or packaging.
