About Comminuting Mill
Comminuting Mill
High Speed Milling & Pulverizing Process
Application & Process :
Comminuting mill is used for the down sizing, milling, pulverization and dispersion of wet and dry products in pharmaceutical, chemical, food, cosmetics, fertilizers industry etc.The product is poured from the top through in feed hopper and material falls on the rotor blades beater assembly for milling or pulverization. Due to the knife edges mounted on rotor, the downsizing of particle takes place and through sieve material gets pushed outward from the bottom opening. Knife edges can be removed for cleaning very easily.
Salient Features :
Design is cGMP - Current Good Manufacturing Practices compliance All Product contact parts AISI 316/ 316L & non contact parts AISI 304. High speed milling, granulating, pulverizing, mixing and size reduction of wet & dry material.. Easy and simple to change knife to impact forward vice-versa by reversible chamber. Dynamic balanced beater assembly bearings are in a separate pillow block at outside chamber. Wide range of sieve of perforated and wire-mesh. Fitted on castor wheels for easy mobility
Optional Features :
Jacketing chamber for water cooling. AC frequency drive for variable speed, Explosion proof motor and push button, Fixed / swing type beater assembly Uniform feeding system with feeder screw with variable drive.
Safety Features :
Interlocked throat hopper and belt guard & Over load relay protection.

FAQ's of Comminuting Mill:
Q: How does the comminuting mill achieve different fineness levels in the final product?
A: The comminuting mill uses interchangeable perforated stainless steel screens and selectable beater options (knife or impact edge) to precisely adjust particle fineness, delivering sizes ranging from 15 to 150 mesh, depending on the product and screen combination.
Q: What are the benefits of using AISI 304/316 stainless steel for the beaters and construction?
A: AISI 304/316 stainless steel provides excellent resistance to corrosion, wear, and contamination, ensuring product purity, long-term durability, and suitability for hygienic applications in industries like pharmaceuticals and food processing.
Q: When should the comminuting mill be dismantled for cleaning?
A: The comminuting mill should be dismantled for cleaning after processing different products, during routine maintenance, or if contamination is suspected. Its easy-to-dismantle design enables thorough and efficient cleaning, maintaining operational hygiene.
Q: Where can the comminuting mill be installed and who supplies it?
A: This equipment is widely available from manufacturers, exporters, distributors, suppliers, dealers, retailers, fabricators, traders, and wholesalers across India. It should be installed in facilities compliant with three-phase, 415V, 50 Hz power supply requirements.
Q: What safety features does the comminuting mill offer for operators?
A: Key safety features include an interlocked cover to avoid accidental contact with moving components, an emergency stop switch for rapid shutdown, and overload protection to safeguard both the machine and operator during use.
Q: How is the feed system designed for efficient operation?
A: The comminuting mill uses a gravity feed type with a vertical rotor position, ensuring a consistent, reliable product flow and optimized milling performance across various materials.
