Working Principle

The material is fed into the colloid mill through the inlet hopper or feeding connection. A high-speed rotating rotor operates against a stationary stator, creating intense mechanical shear, friction and turbulence.

As the product passes through the narrow rotor-stator gap, particles are reduced in size and dispersed throughout the material. This process helps achieve a fine, smooth and homogeneous product, depending on the formulation and operating conditions.

The processed material is discharged through the outlet and can be recirculated when additional milling or homogenization is required.
