About Bag Filter Housing
SS Bag Filter Housing
SS Bag Filter Housing is designed for optimum filtration performance. The range of SS Bag Filter Housing provides filtration solution for a broad variety of fluid applications in the process industry. SS Bag Filter Housing is particularly useful for filtering large volumes of high viscosity liquids. SS Bag Filter Housing is constructed of filter housing, filter bags, internal cage to support bags, positive sealing arrangement, and choice of end connections. The internal supports ensure that bags will not burst, as high differential pressures build up during operation.
Operation
Unfiltered fluid enters the housing and is distributed evenly around the filter bags. Filtration takes place from inside to outside. Solids are collected on the inside of filter bag for easy removal. The filtered fluid then exits through the outlet pipe.

Advanced Corrosion Resistance and DurabilityConstructed from high-grade stainless steel and passivated for superior corrosion resistance, the Bag Filter Housing delivers long-lasting performance even in demanding chemical and industrial environments. It handles both non-corrosive and corrosive liquid filtration applications while maintaining its structural integrity under rigorous conditions.
Versatile Compatibility and CustomizationDesigned to accommodate a variety of bag materialsincluding polypropylene, polyester, nylon, and PTFEthe housing is tailored for process flexibility. Customizable inlet/outlet sizes and bag lengths allow precise adaptation to your specific operational needs, making it suitable for diverse industries.
Efficient and User-Friendly MaintenanceEase of installation and low maintenance are ensured with features like quick release clamps and replaceable filter bags. Floor-mounted support legs provide stability, while welded construction and positive sealing arrangements prevent bypass and leaks during operation.
FAQs of Bag Filter Housing:
Q: How does the positive sealing arrangement prevent filter bag bypass?
A: The housings positive sealing arrangement ensures a tight and secure fit for the filter bag, preventing any unfiltered liquid from bypassing the filter bag and entering the outlet. This design guarantees a consistent filtration efficiency of up to 99%.
Q: What bag materials are compatible with this Bag Filter Housing?
A: The filter housing is compatible with a range of bag materials, including polypropylene, polyester, nylon, and PTFE. This versatility enables effective filtration for different liquid types and process requirements.
Q: When should I replace the filter bag inside the housing?
A: Filter bags should be replaced according to pressure drop, filtration efficiency, or at regular service intervals, depending on the application and contaminant load. Easy access and quick release clamps streamline the replacement process for minimal downtime.
Q: Where can I use this Bag Filter Housing?
A: This housing is suitable for industrial applications such as water treatment, chemical processing, food & beverage production, pharmaceuticals, paints, dyes, and other processes requiring liquid filtration, whether for non-corrosive or corrosive media.
Q: What are the steps involved in installing the Bag Filter Housing?
A: The housing is floor-mounted with support legs, and installation typically involves securing the unit on a stable surface, connecting it to the inlet/outlet pipelines via flanged, threaded, or clamp connections, and ensuring proper sealing with the chosen gasket material.
Q: What benefits does the passivated surface treatment provide?
A: Passivated surface treatment enhances the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel body, extending the units service life and maintaining hygienic conditions, especially crucial for processes in chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Q: How do I select the right filtration grade and mesh size for my application?
A: Select the filtration grade and mesh size (ranging from 5 to 1500 micron) based on the required particle removal efficiency and the specific characteristics of the liquid being filtered. Consultation with the distributor, manufacturer, or supplier can help determine the optimal configuration for your process.
